This is a very simplistic Tropical analysis of the Natal Chart of India (Chart of Independent India), the Progressed chart and Transits of the day (26 th January) and it aims at analysing the unfortunate events that took place in the National capital on our 72 nd Republic day. Every student of Astrology knows that this is a very testing time for our country & hence this write up intends to scrutinize the planetary combinations and their aspectual relations that played a role in today's mayhem in Delhi. Independent India’s chart has Gemini (0 ° 50’) rising as the Ascendant. 1.    Progressed Mercury (Scorpio 21) forms a Square aspect with Natal Sun (Leo 21). On 12th January, we will be celebrating the 158th birth anniversary of Swami Vivekananda. This essay is just my way of paying an obeisance to this great patriot saint of Modern India. Independent India’s chart is with Taurus rising and has a Stellium of 6 planets (Sun, Moon, Mercury, Venus, Saturn, Pluto) in the sign Cancer in the third bhav. Rahu and Ketu tenant the 1-7 axis in the signs Taurus and Scorpio respectively. Also India is undergoing Moon- Saturn period currently and w.r.t to Moon it is the period of 7 th , 8 th  lord (Antara of Saturn). Currently Transit Nodes are in the same sign as that of natal positions. Soon i.e. by end of January they transit the same Nakshatras as natal though degreecally they would be far off. Kamala Harris I recently read that Kamala Harris was elected as a running mate i.e. as a vice presidential candidate for the upcoming US elections. This is a detailed aspectual analysis of the Ingress Charts(Cancer and Libra) and particularly the New Moon Charts of the months till December 2020. An attempt to interpret the planetary combinations in most simplistic manner has been done. The Cancer Ingress of 21.06.2020 fell merely 9 hours before the Solar Eclipse which was visible almost throughout India. The ingress chart has Taurus 26 ° rising- on Caput Algol, a violent fixed star. The Ascendant Lord Venus is the first planet to rise, is retrograde and is disposed by Mercury which is on 3 rd cusp. This Venus is also the 6 th lord and its aspectual relation with Saturn suggests continuance of the co-vid problem for some time to come but surely not with the same intensity.
